Our Team

Dr. Rena Cron has a passion for patient care. She brings over three decades of experience in optometry, having earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1990. She has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in patient care and professional service throughout her career. As the owner of Eagleville Eye Clinic since 2002, Dr. Cron has been a trusted provider of primary care optometry services to the community. Her extensive professional experience also includes roles as an associate optometrist at reputable practices in Nashville and Shelbyville.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Cron is actively engaged in professional organizations and community initiatives. She has been a longstanding member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, where she has served in several leadership positions. Dr. Cron was awarded a fellowship in the Tennessee Academy of Optometric Physicians and currently serves as the organization’s Vice President and Treasurer.  

Dr. Cron's dedication to advancing the field of optometry is further demonstrated through her participation in an advisory board for a large multidisciplinary referral center and her volunteer work with organizations such as Special Olympics of Tennessee. She has been recognized for her professional achievements, including being awarded Practice of the Year by Power Practice Consulting in 2014.

Dr. Cron, her husband Joe, and their two children moved to Eagleville in 1995. Though originally from Nashville, Tennessee, the Cron family has called Eagleville home for three decades. Dr. Cron's involvement in local organizations, such as the Design Review Board of the City of Eagleville, underscores her commitment to serving her community. She and her husband are active members of Rocky Glade Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Cron enjoys traveling and is an avid hiker and snow skier.
Dr. Cron is proud to serve the small-town community. Giving back to the people is truly a joy.

Dr. Vallejo attended Austin Peay State University for her undergraduate studies and received her degree as a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017. While attending optometry school, she served as class secretary for 4 years and graduated as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and was the recipient of many awards including the Clinical Evaluation of the Visual System High Achiever Award and the Academic High Achiever Award.
Upon graduating, Dr. Vallejo moved back to middle Tennessee and joined a medically oriented primary eyecare practice for several years. She was excited to join Eagleville Eye Clinic in 2021 in order to focus on building lasting relationships with her patients. It is her philosophy that each patient’s eye health should be managed with the individual’s goals in mind.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. They love to spend time outdoors in the creek, playing in the woods, or going to the park.
